Welcome To Majdur Kisan College

24th March, 1981; An unforgettable day in the history of Panki. An extremly rural and undeveloped block of Palamu district in the state of Jharkhand at a distance of 45 Kms from Daltongunj, the district headquarter. This was the day when a few education motivators from the villages of Panki united to find a solution of higher education, which was then a challenge as the students had to move towards the district headquarter for the same despite of the tough communication ways and situations. This Institution was born to impart the local students the education of Intermediate and Degree level. But, verysoon those education leaders realized that all these initiations and revolutions are not very easy when their efforts ciphered and college shut down due to some technical issues from the Department of HRD, State Government in 1995.

They came back with stronger energy again in year 2002 with an energetic secretary Dr. Bindeshwar Singh and a dynamic Principal in-charge Dr. Rajesh Singh to play their second inning. The struggle was going on. On 5th October, 2014 the then Vice Chancellor of Ranchi University Prof. (Dr.) S.S. Kushwaha visited the colleges and understood the need of education in the region and the innocent efforts of the education lovers, and finally the day came down which was awaited.

The college got affiliation in five subject (Hindi/Hisrory/Political Science/ Sociology/Economics) to conduct the session from 2005. It was a milestone for the college. In 2007 the college got another affiliation for eight subjects (English/ Sanskrit/ Urdu/ Khortha/ Kurukh/ Mathematics/ Philosophy / Home Science), followed by two subjects (Geography/Psychology) in 2009 and one subject (Commerce) in 2010.

In July 2012, NSS Cell is one of the best performer among the University colleges. In 2016, the college got Permanent affiliation in 15 subjects out 16, accepting Commerce only. In 2017, The College got a new building equipped with Computer Lab, Library, Seminar Hall, Practical Rooms, Conference Hall, Practical Labs, Male & Female Toilet facilities, Power backup unit based on Solar Voltaic Panels, Class Rooms, Cash and Documentation counters, Administrative area, General office etc. The College has set a benchmark in such a socio-economical backward location and is still thriving to achieve the status of an ideal institution.
