Establishment

M.K. College, established on March 24, 1981, in Panki, Palamu district, Jharkhand, was founded with the vision of providing quality higher education in a remote and underdeveloped region. Despite initial challenges, including a temporary closure in 1995, the institution was revived in 2002 under the leadership of Dr. Bindeshwar Singh and Dr. Rajesh Singh. A major milestone was achieved in 2014 when the Vice Chancellor of Ranchi University recognizedits efforts, leading to the expansion of academic programs.

The college secured permanent affiliation in 15 out of 16 subjects by 2016 and inaugurated a modern campus in 2017, featuring advanced facilities such as a library, seminar hall, computer lab, practical labs, solar-powered backup, and well-equipped classrooms. In 2019,the institution reached another significant milestone by getting accredited by NAAC, reflecting its commitment to maintaining high standards in education and infrastructure. The introduction of the Science stream is currently in progress, further strengthening the institution’s academic portfolio.

Today, M.K. College stands as a beacon of progress, fostering academic excellence, sports, and social activities. Committed to regional development, it continues to empower students with quality education and a forward-looking vision for the future.
